Bareminerals Ageless Phyto-Retinol Night Concentrate Review
I am so pumped to share the scoop with you about Bareminerals newest product, Bareminerals Ageless Phyto-Retinol Night Concentrate, which you can find here (this is an affiliate link, meaning I would get a small commission if you purchase through the link!)
I was given the opportunity to try this new product through BzzAgent and will break down my review below!

Back Story…
I’m going to be very honest with you in that I have had a “tried and true” moisturizer for the past 4 years and nothing has come close to outshining it. That’s including multiple others that I’ve tried from subscription boxes and samples. Until this Bareminerals treat came into my life.
I have never used retinol before and really wasn’t a fan of trying it because it just doesn’t seem natural to me. Plus, I have super sensitize skin. Sure, being 30 means I’m starting to REALLY notice my wrinkles but I don’t want to put a ton of chemicals into my skin to counteract them!
However, I have been a Bareminerals for years – Mineral Veil and Prime Time are two of my faves. I have also tried their powder foundation and the BareSkin liquid foundation.
Bareminerals Ageless Phyto-Retinol Night Concentrate: The Review
So let’s break down the new product and my review after using it every night for roughly one month.
Bareminerals Ageless Phyto-Retinol Night Concentrate is actually derived from plants! So it is much cleaner than your typical retinol. It does have protein peptides and hyaluronic acid for some additional anti-aging effects. Oily skin? Not a problem. Sensitive skin? Ain’t no thang!
It also is vegan, free of formaldehydes, parabens, and is cruelty free!
When I first tried the night concentrate, immediately I fell in love with the smell (which is a natural fragrance for those of you with fragrance allergies.) I cannot put my finger on it but it reminds me of something that smells so good that I have tried before. It absorbs very quickly into the skin, too.
How I knew this was a winner is that I didn’t immediately get red and splotchy skin like I usually do when trying a new moisturizer.

Story Time!
But perhaps the *coolest* thing that happened is the story I’m about to share.
I have had a milia under my right eye, on my lower lash line for the past five years. I asked my dermatologist twice over the past few years about removing it, most recently in October because it started to hurt when I rubbed my eye. She kind of scared me saying the procedure may hurt and recommended me taking a sterile needle on my own to poke and squeeze it out.
With how close it was to my eye…that was a hard nope for me. On Tuesday, February 2nd…the milia came out on its own! After five years. I really thought I would just have to live with it and was in the acceptance phase of this. After it popped out that morning, I texted my husband to tell him the “exciting” news because he has heard me complain so many times about it over the years. And I took a picture of it and sent it to my best friend…because do you really even have a bff if you can’t share gross but satisfying things with them? (My fellow pimple popper fans – enjoy exhibit A below, the milia that finally decided to bid me a fond farewell.)

I cannot help but think that the Bareminerals Ageless Phyto-Retinol Night Concentrate helped make this happen because there was nothing else that changed in my routine and it has been clinically proven to improve texture and smoothness of skin:
Clinically shown to significantly reduce visible wrinkles and fine lines and improve hydration — instantly and over time
34% clinical improvement in texture and smoothness *
90% agreed skin did not flake **
90% agreed skin felt softer **
*Based on an 8-week U.S. clinical study of 53 subjects.
**Based on a U.S. consumer study of 53 subjects”
Price
This product is a bit expensive, priced at $62 for 30ml /1 oz. If you are looking for a quality moisturizer that truly will make a difference in your skin, Bareminerals Phyto-Retinol is well worth it.
A few tips to make it more affordable would be to use Amex Offers, Rakuten, or RetailMeNot!
Would I Buy It Myself?
A resounding yes! My moisturizer that I was using for years before this was roughly around the same price point I never really was able to use any of the savings sites mentioned above with my previous go-to. And the fact that I credit this product with making my milia pop out after years is enough to have me choosing this product over any other night creams!
